Blending both their Korean and Chinese cultures together, Uni & John decided to honor her Korean heritage by wearing the Traditional Hanbok for their First Look and honorary Ceremony. For Uni, it was something she’d always dreamed of while growing up and seeing her Mother & Grandmother in photos, especially in the Traditional wedding colors of Yellow & Red.
They followed with a Western Ceremony on a hilltop overlooking the Santa Monica Mountains with a small oak tree that took center stage as a nod to their growing & nurturing commitment to each other as Husband and Wife. Once the Ceremonies were concluded, they were shuttled below to Camp Cabernet for their Reception where guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while Uni changed her look for the third time. Wearing a Red Gown designed and given to her by her Aunt in order to honor John’s Chinese culture (which symbolizes Good Luck), they each sang a popular Song for the other. Uni in Chinese, and John in Korean and had the most fun preparing for their debut. they cuddled some furry friends (she loves piglets and bunnies), and danced the night away with their Harvard alumni cheering them on and celebrating their Union well into the night.
